Green Vein Kratom
Green Vein Kratom
There are many different types of kratom powder on the market, but understanding the strains doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, there are really only three actual strains of kratom, and most of the subtle differences beyond that are almost imperceptible. Unless you’re buying a custom blend, you can generally put any given type of kratom powder into one of the following three categories:
White Vein Kratom
Green Vein Kratom
You might also hear of blends like gold vein kratom (a mix of red and white kratom), but the three mentioned above are the only true kratom strains. Of the three main strains, red might be the most popular in the world. Green isn’t very far behind, though, and many of our customers say they think it’s the best type of kratom.
Green kratom gets its name because the leaves have green stems and veins that run throughout them. It’s as simple as that. This gives the leaves a uniform look since the stems and veins are almost identical in color to the rest of the plant material in the leaves. If you didn’t know better, there’s a good chance you could look at a green kratom leaf without thinking anything of it because it looks so much like other plants.
We don’t usually recommend choosing a type of kratom based solely on appearance, though. As you study different kratom strains’ chemical composition, you’ll find that the alkaloid profiles are as important as anything else. No matter which type you ultimately decide is the most appealing to you, we recommend making your choice based on the alkaloids a specific strain contains.
Understanding Green Kratom Alkaloids
Here in the United States, kratom is mostly sold for educational purposes, and there are few components of this plant that are more interesting than alkaloids. Most people who buy kratom online are doing so because they’re interested in kratom alkaloids. The two most essential alkaloids by far, at least according to our current understanding, are mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. Learn more about these two alkaloids to improve your kratom powder knowledge and why so many people have become advocates for it in recent years.
By definition, an alkaloid is a nitrogen-based organic compound that produces a physiological effect on human beings or other animals. In other words, these natural compounds from plants can’t possibly be defined as alkaloids unless they’re known or believed to produce some sort of effect on human beings or other animals. The potential effects of kratom make it so important to so many different people; the effects kratom alkaloids are known or believed to have on humans might have a massive impact on our continued relationship with this plant.
According to information published by the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, kratom alkaloids can actually bind to opioid receptors in the human body. Not only can these alkaloids interact with opioid receptors, but the reactions may be similar to those created by pharmaceutical drugs that were developed to address inflammation and pain.
Examples of such pharmaceutical drugs include oxycodone, ibuprofen, tramadol, anesthesia drugs, fentanyl, and others. Since some of those pharmaceutical drugs that have been developed in labs can have potentially harmful side effects, many people are interested in researching more natural alternatives, which some believe kratom might be.
Mitragynine, one of the two main kratom alkaloids, is known to interact with the delta-opioid, kappa-opioid, and mu-opioid receptors. This ability to bind with multiple different opioid receptors is what first made researchers realize how important mitragynine is. For several years, members of the kratom community believed mitragynine was the sole alkaloid responsible for the potential effects of kratom.
In more recent times, and thanks to continued research, we’ve realized that 7-hydroxymitragynine may actually be even more critical. According to scientific researchers published by the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, 7-hydroxymitragynine has a “13- and 46-fold higher potency than morphine and mitragynine, respectively.”
This is enormous news in and of itself, but the interesting discoveries about 7-hydroxymitragynine don’t end there. This alkaloid has also been observed to have fast-acting characteristics because of its unique chemical structure. Not only can it have such impactful interactions with the human body, but it may also be able to complete those interactions very quickly.
In terms of the alkaloids in green vein kratom, it’s arguably the most balanced option. Every type of kratom contains more mitragynine than 7-hydroxymitragynine. Some strains have more significant levels of 7-hydroxymitragynine than others, though.
Red strains seem to have the highest levels of 7-hydroxymitragynine. Green vein kratom doesn’t have quite as much 7-hydroxymitragynine as red kratom, but it has more than white kratom. This might make it appealing to people who say red vein kratom has too much 7-hydroxymitragynine (which can be overwhelming), but white vein kratom doesn’t have enough. It might also provide an option to people who were previously buying red kratom for some situations and white kratom for other situations.
What are the different types of Green Vein Kratom
The Mitragyna speciosa tree from which we get kratom grows naturally in warm, wet climates. More specifically, it seems to thrive in Southeast Asia, where it grows naturally. Most of the United States’ kratom comes from Borneo’s South Kalamantarian region. Since most of our kratom powder comes from the same place, many different types of green vein kratom share many similarities.
Some people say they can notice the nuances between different types of green vein kratom, but most can’t. The important thing is to make sure you’re getting your green kratom from a reliable company that works with trustworthy farmers to deliver pure, consistent kratom powder. If you don’t want to take our word for it, you may wish to buy a few different types of green vein kratom powder and compare them all for yourself.
Even though there are only very subtle differences between the different types of green vein kratom powder, some products still offer more reliable quality than others. With that in mind, here are our very favorite types of green kratom powder:
Plantation Grown Super Green Maeng Da
Premium Grown Bali - Organic
Premium Green Maeng Da - Organic Kratom
Premium Green Thai Kratom
Premium Organic Green Malay Kratom
If you study a few of the different options listed above and find that you can pick up on the nuances between them all, you’re one of the lucky few who has a high sensitivity to different alkaloid profiles.
