Make Kava & Kratom Brew with Apple Cider!
You will find that after creating this brewed drink you won't look at apple cider the same way ever again!
You will need:
- Pot or Coffee Urn
- Tea Strainer Bag or Kava Strainer Bag (Disposable bags on Amazon)
- 2 quarts Apple Cider (note adjust less or more juice to suit your needs)
- 3 tbsp Lemon Juice (add more to taste)
- 50-75g Kratom powder (adjust amount to suit)
- 15-20g Instant Kava Powder (Buy here) (Add more kava to suit taste/effect) OR 35-50g Kava Root Powder (adjust amount to suit)
Procedure:
- Bring fresh filtered water to a soft boil (around 170-180 degrees) or heat in coffee urn
- Add Lemon Juice
- (If you use Instant Kava, it gets added to the final mixture, not inside the steeping bag)
- Measure your kratom powder and kava root and place into a tea bag and tie off.
- Add the bag(s) and maintain heat for 15-25 minutes (Longer = stronger but more bitter).
- Remove steeping bags and squeeze as much as possible (they will be hot so use caution)
The mixture can be kept hot for the next 48 hours or chilled and kept in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
