For example, some people say they measure out a small amount of kratom when they want to experience an energized boost, and measure out a larger amount when they want relief from a stressful day or to relax at night. People who are experienced with kratom often become good at measuring out just the right amount for their situation.

Measurements

Most people measure kratom either in grams or in teaspoons. If you have a kitchen scale handy, measuring by gram may be the most effective way to come up with consistent, repeatable measurements. When measuring by teaspoon, just be conscious of exactly how much you’re filling up your measuring spoon. In other words, are you measuring out a level teaspoon, a rounded teaspoon, or a heaping teaspoon? We package our kratom supplement with the suggested dose of 3 grams. This is equal to about 1 measuring teaspoon but can vary by as much as 25% depending on how compacted it is, the amount of moisture in the batch, and other density factors.

Measuring Kratom With a Measuring Spoon

Measuring out a heaping teaspoon may give you a much larger amount of kratom than a level teaspoon. Level teaspoons, on the other hand, are much easier to measure out repeatedly. That’s because when you make a heaping teaspoon, there’s really no way to know exactly how much kratom powder is piled on top of your measuring spoon. However you decide to measure your kratom, just try to be as consistent as possible with your method so you can make adjustments to your measurement over time.

Most people like to measure out somewhere between one half to three teaspoons of kratom at one time, especially when they’re new to kratom. For reference, a measurement of three teaspoons is also the same as one tablespoon. A teaspoon is a great place to start, and you can always start measuring out more or less kratom in the future if you want to make an adjustment.

Measuring Kratom With a Kitchen Scale

If you have a scale that can weigh by the gram, that’s probably the most efficient and exact way to measure your kratom. Most people who are new to kratom should probably start by measuring out about one to three grams. Once you’ve tried that a few times, you may decide to try adding a little bit of weight to your kratom measurements– just don’t go up by too many grams at one time. People who have more experience with kratom normally become very comfortable deciding how much to measure out at one time. Using too much kratom will trigger “rejection” by the body which may result in nausea and if it’s too much, throwing it back up. While there is no scientific data to suggest one way or the other, it seems that everyone has a different “tolerance” level and you must find what level is good for your body We have customers who say they use 1 gram and are thrilled with the results, and others who use 20 grams per dose and have the same effect.
