Eight checks when comparing a kratom company
A useful comparison starts with verifiable product information and clear customer service. Popularity, a low price or a “natural” description does not prove composition, purity or individual safety. Use these eight checks before relying on a seller's claims.
1. Identify the seller and contact details
Look for a company identity and a working contact method. Ask who can help with a label, batch report or order issue.
2. Read the complete product label
Check ingredients, product form, net contents and serving information. Plain-leaf powder, powder capsules and concentrated extracts are different. A familiar strain name does not establish the alkaloid content or a guaranteed effect.
3. Match the report to the batch
Compare the package's batch number with the available laboratory report. Look for the laboratory, test date, substances measured and results. Testing documents a sample; it does not guarantee individual safety or test every possible contaminant.
4. Check alkaloid measurements
Distinguish grams of powder, milligrams of extract and milligrams of mitragynine. Check whether a report measures 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH), rather than assuming a mitragynine result establishes it.
Laughing Lion reports that, in 11 years of its powder testing, it has not seen a 7-OH result above 0.01%. This describes our testing history, not a calculated average or a universal laboratory detection limit. Check the report for your batch. Plain leaf with naturally occurring trace 7-OH differs from products with added or concentrated 7-OH; a low result alone does not establish overall safety.
5. Verify the scope of manufacturing claims
Identify the named participant and applicable program. One supplier's GMP status does not automatically apply to every brand a retailer sells. A program claim is not FDA approval or proof of medical benefit.
6. Read reviews in context
Reviews can help assess service and order handling. A personal experience cannot establish treatment effectiveness or show that another person will respond the same way. Consider complaints as well as praise.
7. Compare the actual order terms
Review current sizes, prices, shipping costs, returns and applicable location restrictions. Discounts and rewards should not encourage buying or using more than intended.
8. Ask specific questions
Ask for clarification when ingredients, measurements or reports are unclear. Our team can help with product and order information. Individual medical questions belong with a healthcare professional.
Important safety information
For adults 21+ only. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Do not combine with alcohol, opioids, sedatives or other drugs. Discuss medications and medical conditions with a healthcare professional. Do not drive or operate machinery after use. Keep away from children.
Regular use can lead to dependence and withdrawal. Adverse effects and serious events have been reported in people using kratom. Other substances and incomplete information can complicate interpretation, but do not establish that kratom is risk-free. Stop use and seek medical advice for an adverse reaction or difficulty reducing use. A seizure, trouble breathing or loss of consciousness requires emergency help. Kratom is not an FDA-approved treatment; our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease.
