CBD product forms: read the exact label

Products sold with CBD can differ in ingredients, concentration and intended route. Use the actual label; an older list of gummies, oils, foods or vape products is not a current inventory list or a recommendation for treating a condition.

Container totals and individual units

Distinguish total CBD per container from the amount declared per unit or volume. Do not assume every gummy contains 10 mg or that a dropperful has the same volume across bottles. A label calculation is not a validated safe amount for an individual.

Routes and timing

Swallowed, topical and inhaled products are different preparations. Do not interchange routes or assume a fixed onset time. The older claim about a gland introducing CBD directly into an artery was inaccurate; it is not a basis for a dosing recommendation.

Topical claims need evidence

A lotion, salve or bath product should be used only as directed. Applying it near a sore joint does not establish penetration to that joint or effectiveness for pain, inflammation or a skin condition.

Do not adjust by chasing an effect

We do not provide a body-weight CBD dosing chart or advise increasing use until a desired effect is reached. Discuss the specific product and intended use with a healthcare professional. Do not stop or replace prescribed treatment on the basis of a retail guide.

Check batch information

Review ingredients, batch identity, date, reported cannabinoids and test limits. Neither a trusted brand nor a laboratory report can guarantee every unit, individual safety or a drug-test outcome.

CBD safety and medical questions

CBD can cause side effects, interact with medicines and pose risks including liver injury. Do not treat a retail product as a substitute for prescribed treatment. Consult a healthcare professional about medicines and medical conditions, and avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Stop use and seek advice for an adverse reaction. Keep products away from children.
