Gold Kratom: Original Blend History & Product Labels

Posted by Laughing Lion Herbs on 27th Feb 2020

KRATOM NAME GUIDE · ADULTS 21+

What does gold kratom mean?

Gold is a familiar retail name rather than a separate kratom species or verified genetic strain. A gold label does not establish a particular drying method, recipe, alkaloid level or effect across different sellers. Ask what the seller means by the name.

Originally a distinct red-and-white blend

Laughing Lion’s gold formulation was originally a distinct combination of red- and white-labeled powders. The familiar gold name remains part of our product history. The current batch note below explains how our present plain-leaf listings relate to those historical names.

Does gold mean higher alkaloid content?

The name does not quantify alkaloid content or establish that less powder will produce a particular experience. Do not assume blending, fermentation or a color label increases potency. Compare the actual batch measurements and package information.

Changing names does not establish a tolerance reset

We do not have evidence that changing from a familiar color to gold restores a previous effect or prevents dependence. Avoid escalating use or moving to concentrated products to chase an experience. Seek healthcare advice if use is difficult to reduce.

One species, with natural variation

Kratom is Mitragyna speciosa. Genetic variation exists within the species; retail color names are not verified genetic classifications. Natural vein color can vary with leaf development, and drying can change powder color. Neither is a reliable shortcut to a particular effect.

Our familiar names and original blends

Our named blends were originally distinct formulations. Familiar names remain in our catalog so returning customers can locate their listings.

*Current Laughing Lion plain-leaf powder and capsule products use the same powder within a given batch, regardless of strain, color or historical blend name. Current historical blends are not mixtures of different powders. Batches can change over time.

Check the label and batch information

Identify plain-leaf powder, powder capsules or a concentrated extract before comparing quantities. Check ingredients, net contents and serving information. Match an available laboratory report to the batch and review the date, units and tests performed. A report describes a tested sample; it does not guarantee individual safety or test every possible contaminant.

In 11 years of testing our plain-leaf powder, Laughing Lion has not seen a 7-OH result above 0.01%. This describes our testing history; check the available report for your batch. Naturally occurring trace 7-OH in plain leaf differs from added or concentrated 7-OH in enhanced products. A low 7-OH result alone does not establish that a product is risk-free.

Powder and capsule measurements

Our current plain-leaf powder guidance is 3 grams measured with a scale. Our 500 mg powder capsules contain 0.5 grams each; 4–6 capsules contain 2–3 grams. At our reported typical 1.5% mitragynine content, those quantities correspond to approximately 45 mg for 3 grams of powder and 30–45 mg for 4–6 capsules. Check your batch and label. These estimates are not proven safe doses, and extract servings are different.

Important safety information

For adults 21+ only. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Do not combine with alcohol, opioids, sedatives or other drugs. Discuss medications and medical conditions with a healthcare professional. Do not drive or operate machinery after use. Keep away from children.

Regular use can lead to dependence and withdrawal. Adverse effects and serious events have been reported in people using kratom. Other substances and incomplete information can complicate interpretation, but do not establish that kratom is risk-free. Stop use and seek medical advice for an adverse reaction or difficulty reducing use. A seizure, trouble breathing or loss of consciousness requires emergency help. Kratom is not an FDA-approved treatment; our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease.
