Green vein kratom: compare the product behind the color
Green vein kratom is a familiar retail label for Mitragyna speciosa products. A green name can help customers locate a listing, but it does not establish a unique genetic strain, a standardized alkaloid ratio or a predictable “balanced” experience.
Does green mean moderate potency?
A color name alone cannot tell you the amount of mitragynine or 7-OH in a product. It is not evidence that green contains less 7-OH than red and more than white. Compare a relevant batch report, using matching units and product forms, rather than assuming a potency ranking.
Drying, natural color and retail names
Controlled research shows that drying conditions can affect powder color, while natural vein color can change with leaf development. Genetic and chemical variation also exists within the species. These findings do not validate a fixed red-green-white classification of consumer effects.
Green Maeng Da, Malay, Thai and other names
Catalog names may combine a color with a geographic or familiar trade name. Without documentation, they do not authenticate geographic origin, genetics or a specific growing method. Availability changes; use our current catalog rather than an older list of varieties to see what is stocked.
What to check before comparing prices
Identify powder, powder capsules or extract. Read ingredients, package quantity and serving information. Match laboratory information to the batch and check the date, units and substances tested. Compare net quantities and current prices; “natural,” “premium” or a green label does not establish individual safety.
Experiences and tolerance
Personal reports are not controlled evidence that a green label produces a particular effect. Switching color names does not demonstrate that tolerance has reversed. Increasing use or difficulty reducing use deserves discussion with a healthcare professional.
Our familiar names and original blends
Our named blends were originally distinct formulations. Familiar names remain in our catalog so returning customers can locate their listings.
Check the label and batch information
Identify plain-leaf powder, powder capsules or a concentrated extract before comparing quantities. Check ingredients, net contents and serving information. Match an available laboratory report to the batch and review the date, units and tests performed. A report describes a tested sample; it does not guarantee individual safety or test every possible contaminant.
In 11 years of testing our plain-leaf powder, Laughing Lion has not seen a 7-OH result above 0.01%. This describes our testing history; check the available report for your batch. Naturally occurring trace 7-OH in plain leaf differs from added or concentrated 7-OH in enhanced products. A low 7-OH result alone does not establish that a product is risk-free.
Powder and capsule measurements
Our current plain-leaf powder guidance is 3 grams measured with a scale. Our 500 mg powder capsules contain 0.5 grams each; 4–6 capsules contain 2–3 grams. At our reported typical 1.5% mitragynine content, those quantities correspond to approximately 45 mg for 3 grams of powder and 30–45 mg for 4–6 capsules. Check your batch and label. These estimates are not proven safe doses, and extract servings are different.

Important safety information
For adults 21+ only. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Do not combine with alcohol, opioids, sedatives or other drugs. Discuss medications and medical conditions with a healthcare professional. Do not drive or operate machinery after use. Keep away from children.
Regular use can lead to dependence and withdrawal. Adverse effects and serious events have been reported in people using kratom. Other substances and incomplete information can complicate interpretation, but do not establish that kratom is risk-free. Stop use and seek medical advice for an adverse reaction or difficulty reducing use. A seizure, trouble breathing or loss of consciousness requires emergency help. Kratom is not an FDA-approved treatment; our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease.
